Oh, I like this! And this! And this!
Last month, Instagram introduced a new feature that could help make marketing techniques for your restaurant much easier to manage – “Instagram Collections.” Now you have the ability to save posts into individual collections by tapping and holding a saved post, adding it to an existing collection, similar to the Pinterest setup.
Instagram’s saved posts as well as their new collections feature are private and are visible only to the user, so you can’t publicly share your assortment of chosen content unless you want to individually share a bunch of separate photos.
Luckily, this feature can make marketing much easier!
Many times when we’re on Instagram, we see content that we would like to recreate but it often gets easily lost in the shuffle of things. Now it is possible to save posts all in one place so you can keep track of what competitors are posting, what is new, and what you might want to recreate.
Often this can be the case for clever captions or unique post ideas, but it can also serve as a preliminary content calendar of marketing ideas seen from other restaurants or users.
